Mindy comes from a UK listed electronics factory company. Although he has only been with the company for a short period of time, his purchases have gone very well. Early last year, he purchased a batch of heat shrink tubing to be used in their fittings for electronic components. A sample of the heat shrink tubing from the original supplier worked well, but the rig failed to start after 2 months of operation. The heat shrink tubing in the equipment was judged to be peeling at the scene, and the electronic parts were further disassembled. The original heat shrink tubing was found to be worn and damaged after high temperature operation.  

Mindy contacted the original heat shrink tubing manufacturer, who replied that it was normal for heat shrink tubing to show these phenomena and that it had a service life of at least one year. Mindy was asked to check the temperature of the working environment.
